3. Remove the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly from the machine.
We recommend placing the drum and toner assembly on a piece of disposable paper in case you accidentally spill or scatter toner.
4. Push down the green lock lever and take the toner cartridge out of the drum unit.
Handle the toner cartridge carefully. If toner scatters on hands or clothing, immediately wipe it off or wash it with cold water.
5. Unpack the new toner cartridge.
6. Remove the protective cover.
7. Push the new toner cartridge firmly into the drum unit until you hear it lock into place.
8. Clean the corona wire inside the drum unit by gently sliding the green tab from left to right and right to left several times.
Be sure to return the tab to the Home position (▲). The arrow on the tab must be aligned with the arrow on the drum unit. If not, your printed pages may have a vertical stripe.
9. Install the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly back into the machine.
10. Close the front cover of the machine.
